Holy Cross School at Nichitpur, was started in the year 2005 and it is owned by West Bengal Holy Cross Sisters Society which is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act 1961. The School is affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi upto Secondary Standard. The medium of instruction is English. The School promotes co-education and it admits any child irrespective of caste, creed or social status. Holy Cross School receives no Government or private aid and fees realised from students is the only source of revenue. To keep up with the rising costs and revision in salary, fees have to be adjusted from time to time. The school session is from April to March.

Holy Cross School at Nichitpur, West Bengal, is a Catholic Institution managed by Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, North East Province. Established in the year 2005 and affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi, in 2014. It runs classes up to Secondary Level for both boys and girls. The medium of instruction is English. The school aims at forming fully alive men and women, who will live and work for others and contribute to the building up of a just and fraternal society, to meet the need of the time in India today. The school is suitably located in Nichitpur, approximately 3 km. away from the main town, Dalkhola. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the town, thus providing an atmosphere of peace and quiet for proper teaching-learning process.

Holy Cross School at Nichitpur, Dalkhola is a Catholic Institution managed by Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, North East Province. The Congregation was founded in Switzerland in 1856 by Fr. Theodosius Florentini OFM Cap and Mother Maria Theresa Scherer.

The members of this congregation work in almost all the continents, America (North & South), Africa, Europe and Asia. The sisters reached India to take up the various apostolate in the year 1894. The Sisters of Mercy of the Holy Cross, imbued with the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and inspired with founder's charism of "compassionate love to all", value the apostolate of education a very effective expression of the charism. The motto of the congregation is "the need of the time is the will of God". Keeping the motto in mind the sisters have established centres in 19 states in India upto now, responding to the invitations of different societies and organisations. They serve the Nation in various fiends like Formal and Non-Formal education, Teacher's training, Nursing training, Social work, Vocational training programmes, hospitals, care of the old, widows, Orphans and so on. In all these the poor, oppressed and socially less privileged are given priority. We aim at forming fully alive women and men, who will live and work for others and contribute to the building up of a just and fraternal society.
